Meet the Halls Gap Team who all enjoy hosting guests from all groups across Australia.

Whether you’re a school group that we are supplying food and activities, Conversely, if you’re a self-cater group, we have excellent facilities and space for your group.

Out of respect for one of our colleagues, we’d like to mention David Tapscott, who worked at Norval Lodge for many years and passed away in March 2022 after a long battle with cancer. David was an exceptional person, leader, member of the Halls Gap community and family man. He is sorely missed by many. You can read about Dave in another post, click here.

GLENN KEILAR – SITE MANAGER

Glenn worked casually for UC Camping off and on for many years. He comes with extensive experience of Halls Gap and The Grampians / Gariewerd and has lived locally in the district for some time. Glenn took over the role from David Tapscott after he passed away iin March 2022. He had big boots to fill but Glenn has rebuilt the Norval staff to become a cohesive and productive team.

JESS DUNLOP – OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Jess started with UC Camping in 2018 and quickly brought order and efficiency to the office. Her attention to detail and friendly manner is a winner with guests. Jess is also a local, coming from a farming background. Recently married, she’s looking forward to the growth of Norval over the coming years.

MICHELLE McCARTEN – CATERING & DOMESTICS MANAGER

Michelle is our one of our longest serving staff members at Norval Lodge. If she could count how many serves of scrambled eggs for breakfast, muffins for morning/afternoon tea, hamburgers for lunch or chicken parmas for dinner, it would surprise her how hard she’s worked all these years. Michelle comes with a breadth of experience and during lockdown, she made the most of her time and upgraded her skills and qualifications through tertiary training.
